About The Course

With this module, the experienced track tamping machine operator receives the tools to further develop his practical skills, to deepen the requirements of the superstructure with regard to the track geometry parameters and the quality criteria to be used in each case and thus to build the basis for the certification.

Conclusion and Goal

  • The course concludes with a written and practical certification test by the Union of European Railway Engineer Associations (UEEIV).
  • The aim of this course is to obtain the certificate "certified track tamping machinist". Certified GSM have knowledge of track geometry, extensive knowledge of professional operation and sustainable implementation of track tamping work.

Prerequisite

Operators who have proven experience working on the front carriage of tamping machines and who can prove their knowledge by acquiring UEEIV certification.
