About The Course

The focus is on the training of newcomers or those who have been promoted to become track tamping operators by imparting the necessary knowledge in the areas of machine technology and technology, the general requirements of the railway and track system, and in particular the proper and professional processing of the track position, taking into account the requirements and quality criteria the respective DACH countries.

Conclusion and Goal

  • The course concludes with a written and practical certification test by the Union of European Railway Engineer Associations (UEEIV).
  • The aim of this course is to obtain the certificate "certified track tamping machinist". Certified GSM have knowledge of track geometry, extensive knowledge of professional operation and sustainable implementation of track tamping work.

Requirements

Participation in this training is possible without specific prior knowledge of tamping machines. However, knowledge of track construction or experience with track construction machines is an advantage.
